Speaking more that one language, it’s something a lot of us are unable to do (a spattering of French or Spanish on holiday doesn’t really count) So to have your child growing up bilingual, is fantastic, isn’t it? Well, there’s plenty evidence to support this as a positive. Bòrd na Gàidhlig wanted to raise the profile of Gaelic Medium Education (GME), the benefits for early years along the road to teaching posts for fluent speakers. This was a significant National campaign that promoted Gaelic in areas of Scotland and boosted the enrolment of children in GME.
